Hayes Park School has Staff, Parent, Co-Opted and Partnership Governors.

The Governing Body is made up of individuals who have taken a keen interest in the school.  We work closely with the Headteacher and senior staff and our duties include agreeing policies, monitoring the school’s results, agreeing budgets and financial arrangements and acting as a ‘critical friend’ to the school's leadership. We take into account the views of parents, carers and children, and collectively work to make Hayes Park School an inclusive community for all.

The Governing Body meets each term for an all-day meeting during school hours; we take time to visit classes and staff during the day, and usually have lunch with the children too. In order to fulfil some of our duties, we divide into two sub-committees; one dealing with finance, buildings and administration, the other focused on academic matters and on pastoral care. Our Committee meetings are held on a regular basis, both during school hours and evenings. We also form working parties which deal with issues that are too large to be dealt with in a committee of Governing Body meetings, such as the school's admission arrangements.   Additionally we meet with the Headteacher, members of the Senior Leadership Team and representatives from the Local Authority to discuss topical matters when required.

If you have any specific skills that you think may benefit the school then we are always happy to hear from you.  We can be contacted through the school office and of course our Parent Governors can often be found in the school playground at the beginning and end of the school day.

If you are interested in becoming a Governor and supporting our school or wish to raise any other issue then please contact Mrs R Weymouth, Clerk to the Governors, via the school office email.

The School

Hayes Park is a Foundation School located within the London

Borough of Hillingdon. We are a co-educational day school with

Nursery, Infant and Junior departments.

In September, 1999, we became a Foundation School. This status

enables the Governing Body to establish the long-term aims of the

school, appoint high-quality staff and manage the budget

Governors, staff and parents/carers work together to ensure that

the quality of education provided for the children in our care is of

the highest order.

The Clerk to the Governing Body may be contacted through the
